This book provides a different perspective on money as a means to an end vs an end in itself. Reading this book makes you reconsider how you use money and what you're trying to achieve with your finances.

This book was a waste of time and money. It is long winded, boring and complicated. It does not "fit" in this modern world; it wants people to go back to the way of life in the 50's, with one income households, one car families, etc. While I certainly agree that I and most people can cut back on expenses, the suggestions for cutting back in this book make it impossible for people to work and earn a living (or dying, as the author likes to say). Some of the descriptions of what people did to save ... Read More

I got this book after reading in several blogs how good this book is. Now I know why. To start with, the nine steps mentioned in this book are:

(3) Where Is It All Going? (The Monthly Tabulation);
(4) Three Questions That Will Transform Your Life;
(5) Making Life Energy Visible;
(6) Valuing Your Life Energy - Minimizing Spending;
(7) Valuing Your Life Energy ... Read More

The problem I had with the book that I seriously doubt people will become wealthy with this advice. It does give you the basics - but that's all it gives you. There are better ... Read More

This CD seems more like a "casual" conversation that would take place between you and a friend driving to the mall. While this may seem to work for some, the message delivered this way did not particularly register well with me. I drifted, had to listen again because I really didn't pay attention the first time.
Nice for maybe someone who wants additional reinforcement while driving or on their ipod but it really didn't tell me anything I don't already know. Practically all the suggestions I use ... Read More
