The colors are bright with illustrations that all kids seem interested in. The reading is simple, yet interactive. The flaps are paper, so for those under 2, they will eventually pull them off. But it seems like once they reach 2, then they are able to be more gentle and enjoy reaching out to pull up the flap and look at the words and consider their meaning.
