Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines play two Chicago police detectives who, feeling gun-shy about the inherent danger of their jobs, contemplate retirement in Florida. They just can't shake the allure of their work, however, particularly when their pursuit of a notorious drug dealer (Jimmy Smits) turns personal and deadly. While there are more than enough light moments generated by the easy and convincing rapport between Crystal and Hines, director Peter Hyams (The Star Chamber, 2010) succeeds in straddling the two disparate moods to create a taut and engaging action picture. --Robert Lane Average Rating:

This film relies on great comedic acting, and the VHS delivers. The film...as if anyone reading this doesn't already know, a great '80s cop flick. Little overkill on the one liners, but so well delivered by Hines (RIP) and Crystal. A great, fun movie. Rating: - Awesome chemistryIt's a shame that Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines didn't get a chance to work together more. They have great timing and seemed to thoroughly enjoy making this movie. You can't help but laugh when you watch it. Rating: - A real gem!I saw this movie recently on the "TV Land" channel and decided to buy the DVD. I really loved this movie ! It's hilarious and has loads of laughs! Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines worked really well together -- they just clicked on screen. My favorite scene was when their characters were involved in a car chase on a commuter train track with Jimmy Smits's character! I wish they could have made a sequel before Gregory Hines passed away. Rating: - a lost jewelThere are quilty pleasures{Road House} and those movies that are so bad that they become good{Show Girls} HOWEVER this not one of those. It is one of those jewels that doesn't show up much on tv and got lost in theaters. The teaming of Hines and Crystal is a once in life time thing and sorry to say it turned out to be just that. The comedy flows and is not forced. The leads make you like them and you belive that they are real cops. The chase on the El tracks is great and the building shoot ...
