Throughout cinematic history, gushing accounts have cast the likes of DeMille, Hitchcock, Fellini, and Spielberg as sorcerers, rather than tradesmen. Now confounding these lofty perceptions, acclaimed veteran director Christopher Lukas examines the craft and art of directing as a teachable, learnable profession. In Directing for Film and Television, he reveals practical insights for every phase of directing, from reading prospective scripts through overseeing postproduction. Average Rating:

But at the end, the book really falls behind my expectations. The author lacks of metodological support in some of his writing. His chappter on Documentary simply [stinks]. I'll really sugest this book as a ligth reading, good for beginers, as long as you don't belive everything you read.
