Baez made her professional debut in 1959 at the Newport Folk Festival and started recording for Vanguard the next year. Her early association with Bob Dylan and performances of his songs did him no harm. The material in this CD comes from later in her career, when she had left Vanguard for A&M.  Rating:  - Good collection, but a couple of corrections'Greatest Hits' is a good (not perfect) overview of Joan's A&M years - which, other reviewers fail to understand, do not encompass her popular 1971 Blessed Are... album (the one that includes the original version of "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down.") By the way, I recommend Ace Records' Best of the Vanguard Years to survey Joan's early years. All of her original Vanguard LP's have been reissued, too. But, my point here to is correct two aspects of the liner notes and track selection. ... Read More Rating: - JOAN BAEZ IN THE 1970s,There is only one voice of Joan Baez. Her protest songs of the 1960s were her best in my opinion. Rating: - Left me wantingThis is a great CD but the live performance of " AMAZING GRACE " was disapointing. Rating:  - Disappointing....This was very disappointing. "Amazing Grace" was a sing-a-long. Just awful. I don't want to hear sing-a-long over and over on a recording!!!
