 Rating:  - kinda like Mystery Science Theatre......in that you have to watch about an hour and a half to get about 5 good belly laughs out of the whole movie. I loved Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle. I'm a big fan of David Chappelle, Steven Wright, Jackie Chan, and Stephen Chow (and as obvious by my profile: the Marx Brothers and Buster Keaton). i REALLY wanted to like this movie. i just did not find it to be as funny as the rest of the reviewers. i'd recommend to rent this first, before buying... Rating:  - One of his funniestFight Back to School is an excellent series: I II and III. Each is as good as the other. If you can get the NON Dubbed version with original Cantonese audio and English Subtitles, by all means watch that one--the dubbed is horrible! However, the Cantonese version DVD has many trouble playing on my computer and dvd player. VCD is easier to play on every dvd rom or player, quality is not bad at all. Rating: - "I give this mobile phone to you. Do call me."Stephen Chow stars as a police officer who goes undercover at the Edinburg College to recover the Chief Inspector's gun. While the story may not seem like the greatest, Chow's brilliant comedy is on full dispay and the movie is very well directed by Gordan Chan. Chow plays Star Chow, a cop who goes undercover as a student in order to find a missing gun. Read More Rating: - One of my favorite Stephen Chow films!!!This and some other classics by Stephen Chow blow away his recent movies Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle. Don't expect the same type of action though as this is on of his true slapstick style comedies without all the new fangled hollywood special effects. I own the VCD version, so I can't comment on the DVD version, but I recommend anyone who appreciates a good laugh to get this flick. |
