Ages:Teen to adultPlayers:4 or moreContents:Deck of 288 cards, countdown board, 1 minute sand timer, and instructions.Winning Moves #1006 Editorial Review: One card. Five words. One minute's worth of sand trickling through the hourglass. In 25 Words or Less, can you describe the words on the card so that your teammates are able to guess them correctly? Selected as a Games magazine Game of the Year, 25 Words or Less is both fun and challenging. Will your teammates correctly shout out "squirrel!" in answer to your three-word clue "fluffy-tailed rodent"? On the same card, you'll have to provide clues for: wafer, Ethel Mertz, heater, and cord. If your teammates get all the answers within the word and time limits, your team wins the card. If not, the opposing team gets it. First team to win 10 cards wins the game. Next card. In 25 Words or Less: telegram, wheelchair, scarf, Pluto, and pave. Ready? --Wendy Slotboom Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - I hope you're not a wordy personWe fell in love with this game. I chose it because of its similarity to Taboo, but now, instead of being hung up on not using the words on the Taboo list, you have to be mindful of the amount of words you use to describe the words on your list. The name of the game is 25 Words or Less, in which you have to describe the five words on your card in 25 words or less. But, there is a twist. There is a bidding process in which two people look at the card and bid against each other to see who can describe ... Read More Rating: - Great Family Game Night GameThis is a great game for older kids and adults. It makes you think! It is similar to TABOO in that you have to guve clues to make your team guess the words, but it has a twist, you have to bid on how few words it will take you to give clues to get your team to guess all five words on the card! We had a lot of fun playing this over the holidays! Definitely a new games night favorite! Rating: - Like Catchphase with a new element of skill...If you like Catchphrase, Password, and games like it, you'll love this game. It's great for large groups (I've played with 12-15 people) and the added element of having to keep words to "25 or less" really makes it fun, in my opinion. It's because of this that I think it's a great educational game. Players learn to be exact and brief in their communication rather than rattling on forever. To do well, you need to have a good grasp of the language. And if you make a mistake, even a small one, that can ... Read More Rating: - Fun and challengingThis game is fun. We have played many different types of games and found this to be different and challenging. The only complaint is that due to the bidding process, some people do not regularly get to participate in giving clues. However, we have enjoyed it much. Rating: - Not What It Looks LikeGreat game, but just a quick caution: I ordered 2 as gifts, thinking it was the original game. But this is the new 'People, Places, Thing' version, just poorly identified. |
