Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - neat little quirky film
who said that horror had to be all blood and guts? once again, Vincent Price is at the center of ESCAPES as the "host". he introduces us to a world that's different from our own, sort of like Rod Serling's usual opening for "The Twilight Zone". at the start of the film, a kid gets ESCAPES in the mail and he plops it in the 1985 model of a VCR. the first story deals with a kid who tries to cross a bridge supposedly protected by a goblin. another story deals with a guy who gets stuck in a small town ... Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I can't believe [you] has this!
This video is a hoot! I only rented it once, years ago, when I was pretty young, but I remember it still. It's pretty surreal...the end of the film (don't worry, I won't give anything good away) features someone who received "Escapes" through the mail. Very, very campy. Those who enjoy B-movies will love this one. BY THE WAY: the first story is based on an old EC Comics story called "Gone...Fishing!"

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - So bad it's Great
Escapes is a collection of supposedly scary short film, tied together by one "spooky" story with Vincent Price. It's perfect for poking fun at with friends, or just watching by yourself for a laugh.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - GREAT
I first saw this fantastic collection of Twilight zone-ish tales in high school fourteen years ago and have been looking for it ever since. I finally found it in mom pop video store that was going out of business.

The first three stories are great. The last two just okay. Remarkably imaginative. The first is about a guy who decides to go and do some fishing at a deserted pond. What happens to the guy is so simple and yet so frightening and mind-blowing and, at the same time, so obvious, ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - An odd collection of stories in the Creepshow tradition.
This movie is interesting if you're a fan of the Creepshow movie. 5 tales, each with a bit of wit are quick and to the point. The best one is "Coffee Break" about a rock and roll boy who gets trapped in a mountain town. vincent price appears as narrator only in this film.
