As ghetto super-hero Bobby Digital, The RZA has collected a fanatical fan base in addition to the Wu-heads that have remained loyal to him over the years. Digi Snacks consists of all-new panoramic productions, along w/guest production from David Banner and other side artist appearances from various Wu-Tang members Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Just OKI've been a fan of RZA for as long as he's been in the business. But as one of his biggest fans I am obligated to be critical of him. This album is not one of his best efforts and his fans should know that. First of all he doesn't really spit on every track all the way through. His album is riddled with appearences which are not memorable but just annoying. I really only want to hear RZA or Wu-affiliates that have skill. Last but not least is the laziness of his rhymes which is unusual. Overall ... Read More Rating: - Delicious! (4 Stars)"Digi Snacks" marks a significant change in RZA's style. It's quite a bit different than his other offerings as Bobby Digital. And anyone who's been following his recent Wu & non-Wu projects, knows he's up on the experimental tip as of late. With that said, "Digi Snacks" offers some incredible production on what may be his most cohesive Bobby Digital project yet. Where RZA was more "in your face" on his 1998 album, he is decidedly more laid back here. The production is dark & mysterious, as well as head ... Read More Rating: - In RZA I Trust! You either love him or hate him, but I for one believe and support his evolution as a musician and an artist. Some wish he would get back to the grittier more raw flavours of 93 - 97: ET36, OBFL, LS, Bob Digi in Stereo, etc. But all artists evolve and sometimes revert to an older style. I'm confident RZA will give his detracters what they've been craving. Back to Snacks - Its new, fresh, creative, and breakthrough. There's alot happening on every track and RZA may have changed the game by evolving hip-hop ... Read More Rating: - Bobby Digital Is Back! BududududuBefore Digi Snax, RZA has not released a solo album since 2003, when he dropped "Birth Of A Prince" and "World According To RZA". Its been 7 years since we have heard any Bobby Digital since "Digital Bullet" back in 2001. Here in 2008, RZA comes back to release a dope Bobby Digital album! The lyrics in Digi Snax are on point basically every track. He has a few real life tracks like "You Cant Stop Me Now", "Drama", "Up Again" and a few others, a few fun tracks, and the others are just Bobby Digital ... Read More Rating: - RZA brings the pain...I was surprised by how good this album is. I have never doubted RZA's production talent. But for some reason, the Bobby Digital albums have just been way off in another world. They were interesting and all, but they couldn't hardly be considered great albums. This is a great album. It's no 36 Chambers, but it's a really solid album. It's the best solo RZA album to this point. I thought Birth of a Prince before this, but it has been passed... |
