Hot beverages stay hot for at least 1 hour. Cold beverages stay chilled for several hours. Twist the finely threaded stopper tight, and the mug won't leak even if it's knocked over. Twist it about a quarter-turn and drink out of either side--lips on both sides make it easy--without removing the stopper. Made of stainless steel and tough plastic, with a rubber inset inside the handle for comfort and a rubberized ring around the body for a firm grip, the mug is handsome and virtually unbreakable. It stands 7-1/4 inches high, and its smooth stainless-steel interior cleans easily with a sponge or cloth. My husband uses the mini-carabeener it comes with to attach it to his bag. Icy drinks stay icy even in a hot car while I'm out running errands.
