Amazon.com:
The music and fun is endless with the First Act Discovery Junior Accordion. This authentic 7 Key diatonic accordion plays 14 notes via individually tuned stainless steel reeds. The FA-107 comes complete with an instructional guide and songbook. It's easy to learn and easy to sound good while doing so. Fully functional and performance ready, this instrument features the professional look and sound found on larger more expensive professional instruments. The accordion is constructed of a heavy-duty wooden frame covered with a classic Pearl finish celluloid covering. Featuring European style white keys, an aluminum vent hole plate for maximum durability and a custom designed thick paper bellow, the FA-107 is a uniquely beautiful and authentic student sized instrument. To add to the accordions authenticity it is equipped with a bass note key, a harmony accompaniment button and an air bypass valve. The ergonomically design also features a left-hand support strap and right hand thumb support to contribute toward a child's ease of play. The professional squeezebox look and feel will make any child feel and sound like a pro in no time.

Editorial Review:
The accordion is a fascinating instrument that is normally too large and ponderous for children to manipulate. Now there's an accordion that's sized-down and simplified for young children. At rest, this purple, plastic accordion measures a compact 7 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. The bellows can be extended for a total instrument length of approximately 14 inches. A plastic hand strap and thumb loop are nicely sized for small hands and provide for easy compression and expansion of the bellows. The key system is vastly simplified from the traditional accordion: there is a harmonic button, a bass button, and a breath button for the left hand and there are seven button keys for the right hand. Because the right hand buttons produce a different note depending on whether the accordion is being expanded or compressed, 14 distinct notes can be played. The instruction booklet includes a brief history of the accordion, directions for play, and several sample songs to ensure instant musical success. --Tami Horiuchi

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Just right
Easy to play right out of the box. Four year old daughter enjoys it greatly. Kids and grown-ups can't seem to leave it alone. The straps where your hand and thumb go need some breaking in, but overall a wonderful instrument.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Think this is just for kids? Think again...
Think this is just for kids? Think again. I bought this after I played with a similar accordion and couldn't believe a $20 instrument could actually make music. There are a lot of companies selling these, but I'm pretty sure they're all the same. If you think accordion playing might be fun, it's definitely worth the minor investment. The quality of construction is much higher than one would expect for this price range. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in learning a diatonic ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Simply cool
I was sceptical when I saw there was an accordion out at a very affordable price that promised to sound great and was easy to learn. I had previously some rather bad experience with a kid's piano that I returned as it sounded like ...*you name it. However, this product really holds up. It looks good, is made for the little people, and the accompanying instructions are clearly understandable and very valuable even for grown-ups who might have forgotten about their knowledge of sheet music and scales. It is ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great fun and educational to boot
I bought this for my 9 year old son, who is very interested in learning different instruments. (And secretly, after a recent trip to visit my friend in Sweden and hearing her mother play the accordion, I was interested in giving it a try as well).

We are very happy with this! Here it is, 4 months past Christmas and this toy is still as popular as ever. And everyone in the family loves to play around with it, from our 18 year old daughter all the way to our 4 year old daughter. The sound is ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love it.
So many parents, I believe, don't care if a toy is educational. They just want a quiet object for their child to focus on so that it doesn't interrupt Mom or Dad's television show. This is really more a true instrument than a toy. It's educational. There is a manual that comes with it and it teaches you how to use it. You, as a smart parent, want to read it first and know how to use it yourself so that you can spend several hours focusing on your child learning how to use it as well. If you think music ...
