 Rating:  - Yum...I have had this CD for a number of years -- I bought it during a trip to France in 2002 and listened to a lot after I first got it. Then I couldn't find it for a long time and thought I'd lost it, until one day recently I found it in the case for a (weirdly enough) Staind CD. Wow, I forgot how great Garou is. Rating:  - Garou in Chains?My predecessor made a very pertinent remark. Garou is an exact opposite of Ms Dion. He started his career in Quebec barrrooms as a soul/R'n'B singer and his covers of the classics (like Wilson Pickett's "Mustang Sally" or "In the Midnight Hour") are really stunning. And even the standard, "Celine-like" pop songs of this collection, he gives them - thanks to his unique voice and passionate delivery - a new quality. For those tho don't speak French, Garou means "warewolf". He sings about racy issues like gambling and pedophilia, but he manages to put a spin of innocent fascination on all his work. I believe that in real life he the same as he is on stage. The only thing that makes me uncertain of his sincerity is his affiliation with Celine Dion. She is notorious for singing "commercial" songs that do not come from the heart. Rating: - You are wonderful Garou!!
