Here you play one of four mercenaries in a team that has signed on to bring back the kidnapped daughter of a powerful Chinese executive. The adventure takes players through the chaotic alternate reality of Hong Kong, Hell's Kitchen in New York City, the formidable walled city of Xi'an, the lost tomb of the first emperor of China, and, finally, into the legendary mountain island of the immortals, Penglai Shan. A variety of melee and range weapons, such as brass knuckles, pistols, and heavy assault weapons, will help you take out increasingly combative henchmen. The game allows you to play as any one member of the team: cover-girl assassins Hana Tsu-Vachel or Rain Qin, master operative Royce Glas, or greedy killer Jakob "Deke" Decourt. The game's variable ending changes with the disposition of certain in-game events, and other hidden features promise added replayability. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - A True OriginalA blend of Old Chinese myths and avant-grade science fiction make Fear Effect 2 a true original. Like in the first game, you start with Hana (and a new character, Rain) doing an otherwise simple job when everything goes awry. Half the world is dying from EINDS (Environmentally Induced Nucleotides Degeneration Syndrome) and Jin, the same employer from the first game, assigns you to steal a DNA sequence that maps the gene that causes the disease. Problem is, the doctor guarding it just ... Read More Rating: - Not as good as the firstI have to remember that sequels are rarely as good as the first and fe2 is no different. Too many puzzles ruined the game for me to the point where I couldn't keep track of the story line and I just stopped caring what the story was and just wanted to finish the game. I love part one which makes part 2 a huge dissapointment. It's not a terrible game just long winded. Rating: - Retro HelixI think this is a great game, and would recommend it to anyone who likes puzzles and challenges. It changes between disks more, but it's worth it. Rating: - Fabulous!Compared to other Playstation games, this one is head-and-shoulders above the rest! It comes with 4 disks, and the sheer number and variety of environments are incredible. From the beginning in the dark, subterranian passages, to the beauty of a black tie dinner, to the incredible scenes where a giant rock creature chases you over bridges, and on and on and on. More environments than I can even remember, and I've finished the game twice. The puzzles are at times quite hard, but once you get used ... Read More Rating: - Anime Lesbian ...... Assassins with Assault Rifles. Hurrah!Graphics are wonderful for PS1, and still hold up pretty well on the PS2. Voice acting is top notch. Plot is rich, and very different (gotta love that Japanese weirdness). Controls take some getting used to. Inventory system isn't the best. All in all an excellent game for adults. Challenging and very atmospheric. |
