 Rating:  - Nothing better for the beginner!For a beginner, this is the detector I would recommend. It's easy to use, lightweight, and economical (just in case it ends up in the closet!) so any family member can use it. I bought an audio adapter from Radio Shack for a couple of bucks so I could use my mp3 ear buds. I've actually found some change at the parks and play grounds with it and it was easy! Rating: - Nice Metal Detector at a Nice PriceI recently purchased this for my husband on his 55th birthday - we then used it on vacation at the beach for two weeks and he's now unofficially switched from ocean fishing to "land fishing". This detector was easy to start using immediately and our family had hours of fun finding quarters, pennies, dimes, and nickels buried in the sand. A nice piece of equipment for the price and user friendly enough to start using right away. Rating: - A Quality Metal DetectorVery, very pleased with this product.
