It held up well but recently the blue foam top began to break down and crack. Since we have two other younger children we needed a new one. After looking around, I went back to this one. My son ( who is only 20 months) can use it by turning the step stool over, and I can use if for him for the bath, and it's great!!!! BUT...the elbow pad is a joke! There is a hard plastic honey comb underneath it and hard plastic surrounding it that force you to put your elbows into two tiny areas or risk severe pain from the plastic.
