Playing a rebellious Texas Ranger, Norris single-handedly wipes out an entire gang of horse thieves--and that's just the opening scene. From there the plot involves arms smuggling, McQuade's daughter being kidnapped, and a dwarf in an electric wheelchair. But the movie's real trump card is a face-off between Norris and David Carradine of the TV show Kung Fu, who plays a badass villain with a penchant for argyle sweaters (though truth be told, Norris's wardrobe is very 1980s as well). Barbara Carrera makes a suitable bad girl/love interest and science fiction fans will enjoy some familiar faces (Robert Beltran, who would later be part of Star Trek: Voyager, and William Sanderson, a supporting actor from Blade Runner).  Rating: - Silly and SappyEnjoyable, because I like the horses, the rest of the movie is very silly. The dirty truck is silly, Why do like this picture? The cast is good. Rating:  - Lone Wolf McQUALUDE!This film is pure comedy from start to finish - if you like bacon you''ll love this flick from Chuck Norris because it's packed with ham; hammy acting, hammy dialog, hammy themes, hammy music etc etc etc. I won't bother to bore you with the films basic premise since it's the least interesting aspect - it's not like you're looking for a challenge right? Rating:  - Not how I remembered itI've been a Chuck Norris fan since I saw this movie a number of times when it came out in theaters years ago. As I watched it again after purchasing the DVD recently, I was extremely disappointed with the plot, script, and direction. However, Chuck Norris, as the lone wolf Texas Ranger, turned a zero-star movie into a two-star movie that wasn't a complete waste of time ... but it's not a movie I would watch again. Rating: - Happy with Lone Wolf McQuadeI was very happy to get this movie. I have had trouble finding it locally. I just wish it was closed captioned as I have trouble hearing. Thanks |
