With Enterprise, the prequel that follows the first starship Enterprise on her original missions, composer and previous ST series vet Dennis McCarthy takes the saga's musical reins, instantly imbuing it with a familiar, if more dignified and restrained, sense of discovery and adventure with his pastoral "New Enterprise" and "New Horizons" themes. If his "Archer's Theme" briefly strays into overwrought rock heroics, the composer's edgy, rhythmic Klingon cues add a sense of almost palpable danger to the soundtrack. Tense, unusually brooding, and marvelously atmospheric, McCarthy's scoring here harks back to the best of Goldsmith's ST film work. "The Rescue" even recalls the powerfully dramatic brass writing of Herrmann in his prime. Another sure sign of the show's pop culture stature: it now has its own bona fide Diane Warren overwrought pop ballad theme, "Where My Heart Will Take Me" (in both its TV version and an extended album mix here) by Russell Watson.  Rating:  - Finally!!!!!!I really enjoyed the music of Enterprise, but was having a tough time with finding the CD. I was particularly interested in getting the CD for the theme song, which I absolutely love!!! The composer of the music for this TV show did an excellant job! Way to go, Mr. McCarthy! Rating: - ENTERPRISE-Songs from the TV SoundtrackAny one who is a Star Trek -Enterprise fan will love this CD. THe songs take you back too when we first saw the show and brings it all back to life. Includes theme song, the score for the first time we see Enterprise. Battle sounds, Captain Archers theme, and so much more. You can't miss with this CD. Rating: - enterprisei like this cd very much, the song that goes with the tv show is very good, if you are a star trek fan, this would be the cd to get. Rating: - Thanks Recording on September 11th was quite an experience; we (the orchestra and the scoring crew) were the only activity on the Paramount lot that horrific day. The music from that day actually sounded more intense than the first part of the score recorded on September 10th. Some of my musicians had relatives in NY that morning and had not heard from them and yet they came and played - heroes in their own way.
