Although it is only capable of going up to warp six, this 12-inch-long rendering of the interstellar vehicle was created using scans taken directly from the filming model used on Enterprise. As a result, it looks like the real thing and features an array of sound effects from the show. A button on the top of the Enterprise activates the electronic sound effects, which are accompanied by flashing lights on the back of the ship. Made of durable plastic, the Enterprise NX-01 is sturdy enough to be used as a toy. --Chris Burns Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Don't be fooled...Okay, it looks nice. The lights are good. BUT................... The sounds are not interesting, and the main light show is n the warp nacells, which are not attatched and will come off. YOU WILL LOSE THEM, AS I HAVE. I was rather disappointed with it. Rating: - My warp nacells fell offThis is a good toy for a while but eventualy the warp nacells will wear out and fall off. Mine no longer work and i cant get new ones. But the other startrek ships by Art Asylum and Diamond Select Toys are very durable. Like the Enterprise A and E. They are great. Rating: - Even better than the Playmates Trek modelsWhen Art Asylum originally gained the contract to make Enterprise and other Star Trek toys, I was more than a little skeptical for a couple of reasons. For one thing, I didn't think that a toy company whose reputation rested on making replicas of Eminem and other sort of fringe genre figures would be able to appreciate the delicate art of pleasing the very demanding (myself included) group of hardcore Trekkers out there. I was wrong. Art Asylum has done a superb job with the Star Trek ... Read More Rating: - Great looking model, poor quality nacellesI was disapointed in how the nacelles kept popping off!! I ended up using superglue to keep them on. Other than that, its a very nice looking model, feels sturdy, much more durable than a plastic model you put together. Rating: - Much more detail than any previous toy Star Trek shipThe detail on this is great. Art Asylum actually took the time to do the "aztecing" paint scheme on the hull. As for the nacelles most people complain about, I have never had a problem with mine. On mine the sound effects aren't that great. Going to warp sounds good, but the torpedo one is horrible. Even though the sound effects on it aren't the greatest I still strongly recommend the NX-01, just for the detail in the paint job alone. |
