Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Horrible, horrible, horrible design flaw
If the lid that accompanied this egg cooker was glass (as they used to be) or stainless steel, this might be a handy device. Unfortunately, the lid is plastic. And the lid is in constant contact with the part of the egg cooker that heats the water. The byproduct of this is that the lid will melt. I wish I had read the one-star reviews. They all say the same thing.

Given the design of this, I can't imagine how anyone's plastic lid didn't melt. Perhaps these reviews are combined for an ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love this egg cooker!
I almost bought a Cuisinart Egg Cooker but thankfully I read the reviews first and decided on the Oster...and I'm glad I did! You'll need to experiment a little at first to find the exact right amount of water to use depending on how you like your eggs but after that-perfect every time! I love the way it makes poached eggs-the whites perfectly cooked and runny yolks-mmm! I made eggs florentine one morning for my family and everyone wanted one after they saw how easy it was. Would definitely recommend ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Oster Egg Cooker
I love this egg cooker. I really like poached eggs but rarely made them because the water always boiled over unto my cooking surface. This appliance is so clean and fast too. By the time my toaster oven is finished making my toast, my egg is ready. I use this at least 3 times a week.

It works!

Just a couple of things I don't like. The poacher gets stuck in the lid and the eggs get stuck in the poacher. It doesn't matter if you use oil or not. (Being teflon you're not supposed to have to use anything, but I guess they used an inferior batch for mine.)

I had a sunbeam before, don't know where it disappeared to, one of those things that happen when you move, I guess. The lid in it had gradations so you could put the right amount of water in it for how you ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - LOVE IT!!!
This egg cooker is so great! I love the idea of being able to make eggs without standing over them the whole time worrying about whether or not it's cooking properly.
I really enjoy the ease of using it, and it doesn't take up too much counter space.

The only flaws that I have noticed thus far are:

#1 The shape of the poached eggs are wierd. They're a sort of triangular shape. It isn't asthetically pleasing, and my husband says he really doesn't like the way it looks either. ... Read More
