 Rating:  - Horrible, horrible, horrible design flawIf the lid that accompanied this egg cooker was glass (as they used to be) or stainless steel, this might be a handy device. Unfortunately, the lid is plastic. And the lid is in constant contact with the part of the egg cooker that heats the water. The byproduct of this is that the lid will melt. You'll need to experiment a little at first to find the exact right amount of water to use depending on how you like your eggs but after that-perfect every time! I really like poached eggs but rarely made them because the water always boiled over unto my cooking surface. This appliance is so clean and fast too. By the time my toaster oven is finished making my toast, my egg is ready. I use this at least 3 times a week. Rating:  - Eggzactly It works! Just a couple of things I don't like. The poacher gets stuck in the lid and the eggs get stuck in the poacher. It doesn't matter if you use oil or not. (Being teflon you're not supposed to have to use anything, but I guess they used an inferior batch for mine.) I love the idea of being able to make eggs without standing over them the whole time worrying about whether or not it's cooking properly. I really enjoy the ease of using it, and it doesn't take up too much counter space. The only flaws that I have noticed thus far are: #1 The shape of the poached eggs are wierd.
