The easy-to install Lorex SG6130 camera features wireless technology to save you the hassle of cable connections, making it an ideal solution when portability is required. Not only is this system compatible with all Lorex 2.4 GHz wireless devices, but with built-in listen-in audio and the receiver's ability to autoscan up to four separate cameras, this system can turn any TV into a video security system that is great for monitoring situations where installing cables are not convenient. The SG6130's camera utilizes a black-and-white CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor) image sensor with a 3.7-millimeter fixed wide-angle lens. This unit delivers a resolution of 240 horizontal TVL (TV lines), and has a minimum illumination of 0.1 Lux that is augmented by six IR (infrared) emitting LEDs (light emitting diodes). The Lorex SG6130 camera runs on 12-volt DC power via an included AC/DC adapter or via eight 1.5-volt alkaline batteries, and has an operating temperature of -10 to 50 degrees Celsius. The SG6130's receiver allows for signal reception from up to 300-feet away with a clear line of sight. The Lorex SG6130 receiver includes a standard RCA composite video output connection that easily connects to most TVs or VCRs, and runs on 9-volt DC power via an included AC/DC adapter. This receiver can accept signals from up to four cameras simultaneously, allowing you to autoscan all four or display full-screen images of a single camera, and has an operating temperature of -10 to 50 degrees Celsius. About Surveillance Camera Technical Features Lux rating is the measurement used to indicate how sensitive a camera is to light, and stands for the level of light reflected off a piece of paper by a candle from one meter away. Thus a sensitivity of three Lux would mean a camera could generate an acceptable picture of a piece-of-paper-sized object that was illuminated by the equivalent of three candles from one meter away. The lower the Lux level, the better the camera's ability to work in low-light conditions. The camera's resolution should be greater than or equal to the resolution supported by the system's recorder or monitor. The S/N, or signal to noise ratio, is an important measure of a camera's quality. A poor camera, low-light conditions or poor wiring causes "noise" which consumes processing power and disk space. A camera with a wide dynamic range is ideal, especially for recording areas in which both indoor and outdoor light are present. CCD (charge-coupled device) sensors provide high-quality images that are less susceptible to noise. CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor) sensors offer less image quality, but are usually more cost-effective and energy efficient. ![]() Rating: - Good clear picture and good audio!I am a computer technician, I also install surveillance cameras, everyone needs to understand, if you have a wireless router that uses 2.4 Ghz frequency, the picture will not be clear, it lasted a while, then the wire got pinched in the window, the whole camera burned, in the inside, could of started a fire, if you have money, buy wired cameras, they are alot better! Rating: - Junkpoor resolution, blurry and as a bonus: the picture gets worse over time. infrared lights on the camera are good for 3 feet. Rating: - wireless cameraI dont' think its the best camera. Sctatchy noise has to be plugged in to extension cord because batteries are rechargeable and last only 4 hrs. Good for the price to be able to watch things and the audio is good. Rating: - Good camera with poor night visionThis camera worked well except the night vision. night vision only displayed an image if the object was within 2-3 feet of the camera. I would call this camera a low light camera. Rating: - ok, but not greatOk, this product does what it says it does sometimes. It wouldn't work straight out of the box, and then magically started working. When working it worked very well. Also, it has a tendency to interfer with the wireless network in my house. |
