 Rating: - Great GameThere is an element of this game (and age of empires 2) that must strike some primal chord in me because I've been playing it for ten years and I still enjoy it tremendously. The newer similar games use a different interface and I just never liked them as much Rating: - If you miss the Classical World_I played this early edition of Age of Empires for years before Age of Empires 2 (Age of Kings) came out. Then I gave it away. After a while I came to miss the classical units like the Greeks, Egyptians, and Romans. Both the fighting units and the architecture had a quality that the later medieval version lacked. So, when this low priced jewel case version hit the shelves I bought for old-time's sake.
