Editorial Review: Product Description: Before there were drip coffeemakers, coffee was brewed in a percolator. Which is better? That's a matter of taste preference. Percolator supporters believe that the percolation process delivers more pure taste. They believe that some of the natural oils and flavonoids of the beans are lost when filtered in a drip coffeemaker. This product is for those who favor the percolator. 1000 watts 110-120 Volts AC (includes power cord) Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - ANTonlineI ordered this item for work and waited and waited (nearly 3 weeks) for it to arrive. Finally, I received an email that it had been damaged in shipping and was on its way back to the warehouse. What's up with that? I would not order from this company again, and am surprised at the subpar customer service offered by this Amazon-related supplier. Rating: - THE PERFECT SIZEThis percolator is the perfect size for an individual or maybe two people. I use it in my RV when camping in the mountains. It's just like my larger one, but much more convenient. I've had one of the Farberware percolators for years, and I use it rather than a drip coffee maker. Rating: - Love my little perkerI gave up on drip coffee makers because I like really HOT coffee -- cannot be TOO hot! This is perfect for using daily. It makes great hot coffee surprisingly quickly. The two things I would point out is [1] don't make more than you will drink within just a few minutes because the coffee becomes burned tasting within about 10 minutes, and [2] this little guy pulls 1000 watts -- that's a lot of electricity. For this reason I make enought for two mugs and unplug it after is stops perking. This ... Read More Rating: - Stay awayThe problem with this percolator is the lack of a timer. It doesn't perk long enough to make good coffee. I tried putting four times the normal amount of coffee in and it was still too weak. They should have spent the extra money and put a variable timer on it. How bad is the coffee? Real bad, worse than Tim Hortons. Really. Rating: - The Perfect CompactI've jumped around over the years with different types of coffeemakers. I purchased this little Farberware 3 years ago when I tired of my Bunn with thermal carafe not keeping the coffee hot very long. I'd had one of the electronic Farberware percolators, the ones that detach from the base and have a timer--bad luck with that one. I can't take this little jewel to the table like a thermal carafe, but the coffee comes very quickly, and two rounded scoops works every time. Sometimes I ... Read More |
