It doesn't install by itself the way Windows does and you have to create your own boot diskette using DOS. Once installed, the OS won't quite recognize your system, its monitor or your peripherals. Windos is made easy for those people that don't have the vast knowledge to use linux. It's features are greater than windows, the main point is Open Source Code. Windows does most of our actions for us. Linux its all manual, even sometimes the installation. Windows doesn't want you to change the source, or copy it.
