I cannot turn it on at night or in my office. Rating: - still running after 3+ yearsI've had this product for just over 3 years and wanted to chime in because of all the mixed reviews. My Dell Latitude X1 doesn't have an internal fan and runs VERY hot from almost the second you turn it on. This product makes my computer feel (temperature-wise) as though it's not even on! Also, it's so quiet that I can hear the fans running ONLY when it is completely quiet (which is rare), and it's definitely quieter than the internal fan on my old Dell Inspiron laptop! It's cheap quality, and pretty flimsy plastic. The USB hub for some reason has never worked on my MacBook. The switch on the side broke free of its plastic holdings and was rattling around inside until I opened the thing up. A couple screws were stripped and were rattling around.
