LaCrosse Technology trimmed this wireless wonder with beautiful cherrywood so it would look right at home in a well-appointed den or office. This elegant weather station displays the time, outdoor and indoor temperatures, indoor humidity, and barometric air pressure tendency in easy-to-read LCD graphics. The clock resets automatically via a radio-controlled signal, so it's alway accurate. An arrow indicates where the air pressure's headed, and graphical forecast icons (sunny, cloudy, rain) tell you what to expect, weatherwise. The Wireless Weather Forecast Station can stand on a desk or be hung on a wall (after removing the detachable base). It comes with one remote TX6U temperature sensor, with a range of approx. 80 feet. Up to three sensors can be used altogether. The main station and remote sensor each run on two AA alkaline batteries (not included). For those who need multiple temperature readings, the unit is compatible with up to three remote sensors, and displays the information in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. If gauging current temperature isn't enough to satisfy, the station also forecasts upcoming weather conditions based on changing air pressure, employing several user-friendly icons, such as clouds, raindrops, or the sun, in the display. The forecast is approximately 75 percent accurate for 12 to 20 hours. Like all La Crosse Technology products, the included clock and date indicator receive their readings from the U.S. atomic clock in Fort Collins, Colorado, ensuring that the time is always 100 percent accurate. In addition, the weather station stores both daily maximum and minimum temperatures in its memory. The remote sensor is accurate up to 330 feet away with no obstructions, and approximately 50 to 65 feet away if exterior or interior walls block the weather station. Other features include a 12- or 24-hour time mode and an air-pressure tendency arrow.  Rating: - Works very well, when you need to check temperature and humidityThis wireless weather station is very easy to install and use, and keep records of hi & low temperatures in order to track the weather during long periods. The forecast, as all the forecast, works with 35 to 45% of accuracy. The distance between main station and the transmitters is more than enough and adequate to work without troubles.. It has worked very well from day one. It's very accurate, easy to set up and the batteries in both the receiver and sensor last a long time (I'm sure it's been well over a year, close to two since I last replaced batteries).
