Rating: - THE Classic American Jean
I've been wearing levis for as long as I can remember, and my favorite cut is currently the 550 relaxed fit. They're roomy, comfortable, casual, long lived, wear out slowly, and are reasonably priced. Quality is consistently high, the seams are solid and reliable, the fabric is good ... what more do you need ?

Who needs all those fancy, overpriced newfangled pseudo-brands worn by the overly brand-conscious fashionistas ?

Not me.

Rating: - Not as rugged as they once were!
I have been wearing Levi jeans almost exclusively for 25+ years and while they are still good quality jeans It is obvious that the quality of the denim is not as rugged the past few years.. They are still confy, good looking classic jeans, but they wear out alot faster than they once did.
What were once the best most iconic jeans around are now merely good.

Rating: - Redesigned. Too bagy.
These jeans used to be cut perfect. About one season ago Levi's decided to redesign this model, and now it is too baggy. Why did they mess with a great product!!

Rating: - Comfortable, durable jeans
I tried several brands of jeans and several types of Levi's before finding the 550 relaxed-fit jeans. These fit great through the waist, have just enough give in the butt and crotch not to bind (but not so much that they appear too baggy), and last a long, long time. My oldest pair, which are holding up well, are over 10 years old.
