Editorial Review:

Description:
Deepen Your Taiji With Taiji Ball Qigong

Taiji Ball training is common practice in both external and internal martial arts in China. It can strengthen the torso, condition the muscles, and increase physical power by using the mind to lead the Qi. In Taijiquan, Taiji Ball Qigong training used to be a major training tool to enhance Pushing Hands ability. However, due to its secrecy, fewer and fewer people learned it. Today the art of Taiji Ball training is almost unknown.

You will practice 16 Rotating Patterns for Stationary, Rocking, Walking and the Bagua Circle that include:

• Vertical Forward Circling and Rotating
• Vertical Backwards Circling and Rotating
• Horizontal Clockwise Circling and Rotating
• Horizontal Counterclockwise Circling and Rotating
• Qigong Breathing techniques

Performed by Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming and senior students.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - terrific!
Very nice video. The breathing instructions are on this course also, which helped remind me to TRY and feel my Qi while rotating the ball. After a few months of this I feel like I understand how this really is basic training for Tai Chi or any martial art. It is a whole body workout. And its a simple repetetive movement that you can get into so that you can train yourself to be aware of your Qi energy circulation while you're moving. This training has improved my Tai Chi form immensely.
