Editorial Review:

Product Description:
The small chef's knife is handy for mincing shallots, slicing radishes, and also for working on larger foods, especially if the sous chef has small hands and finds a big knife hard to manage. R. H. Forschner is a division of Swiss Army Brands, Inc, renowned for the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife. These knives are specially ground and tempered so that they can be resharpened over and over again, keeping a sharp edge throughout their lifetime. State of the art technology blended with old world craftsmanship produce cutting instruments of excellent quality, at reasonable prices. Forschner Victorinox Fibrox knives have earned high marks in a well-known cooking magazine which stringently tests kitchen products.

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Better than expected
I purchased this knife and an 8-inch chef's knife (Forschner) at the same time, thinking that the 8-incher would be my primary knife. Everyone in the family uses this 6" knife all the time. It fits the hand so well and chops veggies superbly. A great bargain too.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - pretty nice, needed sharpening
I order this as one of 6 knives to decide what I wanted on my counter top. I LOVE the handle, even though its stamped, that handle is so grippy and comfy its almost sad that the blade came kinda dull. I tried steeling it, but ended up working on it for 30 mins with a sharpener, the knife is really sharp now, seems to hold it well now that it has one, but that may be a fluke considering the luck others have had. I give it 4 stars because of the 6 it needed the most time at the sharpener, and for its ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great knives!
Purchased four of the Victorinox knives, and love having them. They
arrive sharp, stay sharp, and are easy to resharpen when necessary. They're lightweight and the handles are very slip-resistant. Good buy!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great inexpensive knives
I bought these knives for my son, He was amazed at the qualityof these knives. They cut effortlessly, and are easily controlled. He was considering a much more expensive knife. I'm glad to have found these.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - love it!
Though lightweight, this is the PERFECT knife to have in your kitchen. It is extremely sharp and an ideal size for everyday work. I bought the 8" one as well but I find myself using the 6" the most; it is thinner and therefore less bulky to use. The only thing I've had to get used to is its weight. I'm used to a heavier knife but the quality of the blade makes up for his lightness.
