Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent value
This is a sturdy, durable product. We use it mostly for kneading dough and it works very well. Easy to use and easy to clean. A bit too heavy for moving around- but its something that goes as a side effect of durability. Our last stand mixer was destroyed (motor burnt out) because it was cheap plastic frame and couldnt handle dough mixing. This one does 8 cups easily..

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT
I have always heard great things about KitchenAid, and started wanting one as I became more of an active baker. I was thrilled to see Amazon have this on their GoldBox deal one day, and quickly purchased it.

I am sorry to say that my experience with this KitchenAid model has been terrible. It sounds awful when mixing, and eventually starts bouncing across the counter. I called customer service...they ARE very helpful and polite, and will ship you a replacement within a week. The ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - EXCELLENT
I have never used a Kitchen Aid Mixer in my life. I read the booklet that came with the mixer and used my own recipe to make banana bread this past weekend. I just don't know how I have gotten along without a Kitchen Aid Mixer for this long in my life. And more amazing to me is that my Mom never had a Kitchen Aid Mixer. I JUST LOVE IT!!!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Almost perfect!
After using a Sunbeam Mixmaster for 28 years, I bought another one to replace it, only to find that they "don't make them like they used to". The motor burnt out within 18 months. That's when I bought my KitchenAid Artisan. I LOVE it! It's very sturdy and the motor feels like it will last forever. It mixes well and I find the parts easy to handle, easy to wash. The only drawback I can find is that there isn't much room to insert ingredients into the bowl once the machine is operational. I have ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Absolutely a must for ppl having to knead dough
I have had this mixer for about 4 months now and I cannot say enough good things about it. I make rotis/tortillas very regularly and this not only saves tons of kneading time but avoids the mess and actually makes the dough softer. once you get the hang of flour to water proportions just throw it all in if you want, adjust it to speed 2 and add in a few drops of oil when it's almost done. You will have soft, slightly warm and perfectly consistent dough. I have also used this for batters and the consistency ... Read More
