The asymmetrical bolster is ground out more on the right side to provide proper finger placement and an easy, secure grip. Shun Knives are dishwasher safe, however, as with any lifetime investment, its important to take the best care possible in order to prolong the life of your knife.  Rating: - Hefty and SleekWould I have purchased this if I didn't own other Shuns? No. Is it worth the additional investment? Yes. I've had three previous carving forks. The only one that has survived is my All-Clad. You can really tell the difference in craftsmanship. This fork has a substantial weight. As with all Shun's, the design is simple, yet beautiful. It feels good in the hand. The handle does not have the famous D-shape. Use this fork to make a beautiful impression. |
