 Rating: - Jewelry photography on a budgetI bought this extension tube to see if it would have the ability to take pictures of jewelry. Obviously you need the right set-up, a tripod, lighting etc., but the trick with jewelry is not to get too close because the camera (lense) tends to show up in any polished surface. I'd read some reviews on macro lenses and realized they focus so close to the subject that somebody warned of not bumping or scratching the lense on whatever you're trying to photograph, which for me just wouldn't work. Still I have not tried the tube with it. however, I tested it with the 40-150mm f4 and the result was incredible. you will have to use the manual focus which is recommended for macro shots anyway. It's high quality kit (made in Japan) and the warranty is worldwide. this is good solution if you can't buy macro lens but great if you have one.
