The array of colors is dazzling to a child (Hey, I was impressed, myself!) and will be a constant companion through many art and craft projects. I can't imagine a better bargain, considering the number and durability of the colors. The lovely, clear packaging is quite an added bonus! You absolutely will not go wrong buying this set! Rating: - Gift for neiceMy sister liked it enough to have it under the tree unwrapped on Christmas morning from Santa. My neices response (she'll be 7 this month) was "Wow, I've never seen so many colors"! Highly reccomended for older (school-age) children. Rating:  - not great qualityI didn't realize when I purchased this set that the pens are about half the size of regular pens and with fine tips. Not overly impressed with the quality of writing and true to color. Good for older kids that are gentler on the pens than a really young child might be. An ok buy for the cost.
