 Rating:  - Kids easelI know several people who own this product as well. We all have the same complaint - the chalkboard doesn't work! I had to sand it, spray it with a new chalkboard, sand it again, treat it with chalk, etc. I would have preferred to avoid the hassle and have it arrive chalk-ready. Otherwise, it's a nice easel and my son loves it. Rating:  - Calling all Petite Picassos!!My kids LOVE this and since getting it from Santa, they have really blossomed into little artists! It folds up nicely (the reason why I got rid of our first easel that didn't fold up). Definately buy the accessory kit and aprons and extra paper rolls. The only complaint; the knobs that hold the whole thing together are too easy to remove by children, even if tightened with tools. I keep losing them from my 4 year old that likes to take them off all the time. I think I need ... Rating: - EaselThis is a very nice sturdy easel and is fairly easy to assemble even for an essembly challenged person like myself. My 5 year old grandaughter was thrilled with it. Rating: - great toy for years to comeI bought 2 of these, one for my 2 year old, and one for her friend's birthday. My daughter LOVES it, and the lowest setting is perfect for her. I don't know if they changed the chalkboard, but we didn't have the problems others complained about. I must say I didn't even "season" the board, and it works perfectly ( I had some crayola chalk on hand, and she can draw without problems, and there are no visible scratches).
