The sticks are one piece so no threat of the ball falling off and her choking on it. She bangs the heck out of this thing and it stands up fairly well (She did smash a little bit of its foam deadener, but it still works, hope it won't affect it later). It's incredibly difficult to find a glockenspiel with the sharps and flats that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Unlike a previous reviewer claims, the notes were not off key. Nor did I have to bend the mallets to remove them from the case. The sound quality is good.
