![]() Rating: - Fun but not productiveYou have to freeze the bowl. Mix the ingridients first. And then after about 18 to 20 hours, you can make a small amount of icecream. I like the cheap bucket mixer in the garage better. Rating: - Worked great, but didn't last long...I bought this a bit over a year ago and loved it. It was so much easier than making the brine for the freezing process. My only disappointment is that mine broke in less than a year. I always kept the bowl in the freezer and my guess is that something bumped one of the tabs on the bowl and cracked it. I didn't find out until I was making a batch and blue liquid slowly started appearing at the base of the bowl. As the bowl thawed so that I could wash it the freezing liquid kept running out more ... I use it with the Professional HD series stand mixer and it really makes a good ice cream, smooth and creamy, without all of the crystals that usually come with home freezers (especially if you're making a lower fat ice cream).
