There are different hardnesses of shank, different widths, and lengths. Also depending on the model of shoe, and the brand the sizes vary. Some sizes go up from street shoe sizes, and some sizes go down from street shoe sizes. My capezio contempora pointe shoes go down size in size, while the capezio giselle goes up in size.
