Product Description:
Exclusive, 36 OZ , Oriole Feeder, 2 Position Perch Adjusts To Feed All Varieties Of Orioles, Patented Flexiblebee Guard, Lets Bird Feed, Keeps Bees Out, 4 Feeding Stations, Includes Free Oriole Identification Chart.

Amazon.com Review:
While plants, flowers, and insects naturally provide food for our feathered friends, a well-stocked oriole feeder encourages more frequent visits. Opus's egg-shaped feeder holds 32 ounces and provides four feeding stations, to allow as many orioles to dine as possible. Adjustable perches offer two different perch heights to accommodate all nine species of orioles. A patented bee guard keeps pests out and secures food. A convenient hanging hole permits owners to hang the feeder by a special stand or on tree branches.

Opus even includes an oriole identification chart to inform bird enthusiasts. To attract orioles to the feeder, place it in a sheltered southeast location in the yard or garden. Orioles also enjoy dining on fresh oranges and grape or apple jelly. Keep the feeder stocked year-round to nourish any birds that linger through a cold winter, and help tired birds rebuild strength after the long flight north in spring. To deter pesky squirrels, hang the oriole feeder from tree branches as far from the trunk as possible and at least four feet above the ground. For best results, handwash the feeder with equal parts water and white vinegar--this will help protect birds from bacteria and disease. Avoid chemical cleaners that might poison birds. When shipped, this item weighs two pounds. --Jessica Reuling

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - They Leak!
Bought two of these after seeing orioles at our humming bird feeders. The bottoms of each are made in two parts that screw together. The problem is that both of them slowly leak out through this joint and will become empty overnite. They are worthless!Opus 449-2 Oriole Feeder

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - They really got this one right!
We tried another brand of oriole feeder two summers ago and had to get rid of it because of the problem it created with the local bees: some crawled into the feeding holes and drowned, others created a swarm around the feeder, and the rest decided they owned the patio and chased us indoors. The spring-loaded bee guards on this model keep the bees at bay--in fact, they don't even try to get into it--and the orioles have had absolutely no trouble pushing past the guards to get their drink. I did ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Oriole Feeder a Success in Baja
I purchased one of these a year ago, when I noticed the Scott's Orioles trying to eat out of our hummingbird feeders. They were unsuccessful, as their beaks were too large. I found one of the Opus feeders online, and when it was installed in our yard, we had an Oriole invasion; both Scott's and Hooded Orioles congregated around it. One smart family even built a nest about 10' away from the feeder! It's easy to clean and fill, easy to assemble, and the birds love it. The only thing that might ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Looks great but no orioles ever came!
I bought this feeder from Target after seeing an oriole near our regular bird feeder last spring. It shipped quickly and was easy to set up once I bought some oriole food mix. I hung it as suggested in a southwest corner but never saw an oriole come near it! I gave it a few weeks but no luck so I moved it under a tree. Maybe I put it out too late in the season and missed the migrating males this year so I'll give it another try next year. I still have it up since it looks nice but it didn't seem to ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Oriole feeder
Update:The Orioles will NOT feed from this feeder. I have lots of Orioles, the other feeders ran out for two days and they left because they would not eat from this feeder. I filled the ones back up that look like big oranges and they are feeding again. I believe they will not eat from this one because it does not have feeding station pegs for them to stand on while feeding and the others do. P.S. Humming birds will eat from the same orange shaped feeders with the Oriole necter food,in case you do not ... Read More
