From mid treble to the lowest notes, the speakers generate sounds that are smooth and rich, much like much more expensive ones. Since I have a very old receiver that is low powered (about 20 watts per channel), I am very pleased with the high efficiency design that lets me fill the house music. I listen to classical music mostly. The speakers produce clear, open sound, emphasizing the high end and giving the impression of an acoustically "live" room. I find this efffect pleasant although realistically this not exactly what you would hear in a typical concert hall. On the other hand, deep base is deemphasized.
