 Rating:  - Cute, retro look!This little guy works much better then the bread bags that I used to reuse! The finish matches all my appliances in my kitchen and the retro mini-garbage-can-look fits in with my collectable kitsch. It wipes down well. My only complaint is I wish it was bigger. And the charcol filter works sooo well, that when you lift the lid to add another compost item, ohhh man, does your nose get knocked out! It's very slight and noticeable only when setting the unit back down. It's also expensive when thinking about its function. Coffee cans were performing the same function before, and almost as well. It was larger than I expected. It's small enough to sit on the counter, but you wouldn't want it any bigger. The lid fits nicely and we have had no oder from the compost scraps. Also, it rises clean very easily after dumping into our outdoor compost pail. With stainless steel, the fingerprints show up on the outside of the pail, so I have to wipe it down from time to ...
