He buys them because he needs the 5qt+ capacity - no more no less. He uses them almost daily and has gone through several after it switched from Hobart to Kitchen Aid. Kitchen Aid customer service is excellent and they've replaced a few of them. If you are looking for a mixer you can abuse and use professionally, get a more expensive machine if you can. Read More Rating: - gearbox is poorly mademixer worked great for several years, then someone put bread dough in it. now the gearbox is completely shot: the plastic casing cracked, allowing the gears to misalign, ripping some of the teeth off of one of the gears and cracking one of the bushings. great mixer, just not for anything thicker than cookie dough. Rating: - KitchenaidI love my mixer.It is a little loud but not enough to complain about. I have a 4.5 quart and love it but the professional one I have now is awsome. |
