Editorial Review: Amazon.com Product Review: Stop picking through that pile of sticks for the right boards every weekend and keep the ski quiver neatly organized with this handy wall-mount ski rack from Racor. Designed for both Nordic and Alpine skis (that includes you tele-skiers, too), the rack holds four pairs of skis and poles for easy access and quicker getaways when it's dumpin' out there. Skis slide in from the side rather than from above, so there's no lifting them high or having to jiggle them just right to fit them in the rack. And, the rack supports skis tightly under the toe pieces, rather than under the tails, so there's no scissor action when hanging brakeless Nordic skis and no danger of slippage. Solid steel construction and an epoxy finish ensure optimal durability and corrosion resistance. Mounted to an outdoor wall, the rack can't blow over in the wind. With no assembly required and all mounting hardware included, even a snowboarder could set up this unit in minutes (though our boarder chums we like to tease might want to check out Racor's snowboard rack, also available on Amazon.com). *Longer Nordic poles might require a higher wall mount. There. Now there are no more excuses for that ridiculous pile of skis in the corner. --Brian D. Olson Product Description: Tired of skis and poles falling over? Now you can store four pair of skis (Nordic, Alpine, Powder) and poles in one small area with the SR-4R Ski Rack. Made of sturdy solid steel construction and a durable epoxy finish. No assembly required. Easy wall installation with provided hardware. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Don't buy this rackI had to take this down because it is worthless for downhill skis. I mean, if I have to buy stainless, strip-resistant screws, why pay $49? If I have to use a bungee cord to hold the skis in, why buy this rack? If I have to mount extra wood padding below the drill holes, and it still tilts downhard, why use this? As another reviewer has mentioned, this rack doesn't work for newer raised plates on downhill skis below the toe piece. I do have this rack for *cross-country* skis at ... Read More Rating: - Sturdy, functional, but could use better mounting hardwareI ordered two sets of these racks to accommodate all my families 8+ pairs of skis and poles. Mounted, they are sturdy and work well. However, my advice to any purchaser of these racks is to throw away the mounting screws that come with it, and purchase a pair of quarter inch by 3 inch lag bolts with washers, per rack. Locate the rack on the wall on studs 16 inches apart, pre-drill the holes, and run the lag bolts and washers up snug to the outside of the mounting bracket. The screws are intended to ... Read More Rating: - Clever DesignVery compact and efficient. Easy install. Does have some trouble with platform bindings. Would still recommend. Rating: - Does the job, but could be sturdierI installed this in my garage and it does the basic job of getting the skis and poles organized,so it is a product that I would recommend. However, I think it could use some improvement so that it could be a 4- or 5-star product. Specifically: The skis want to slide out of the rack so I have to use a bungee cord to keep them from sliding out. It looks like the rack was designed before the advent of today's binding technologies with the toe piece that is raised so high off the surface of ... Read More Rating: - Works for some skis and polesI have not installed these yet, but have checked them out with several different types of skis and poles. Contrary to the description, the rack does not fit all ski types. It appears to work fine for - downhill skis - downhill poles - touring X-C skis with 75 mm bindings It does not appear to work well for - X-C touring or track skis with NNN bindings - skate skis - skis with Voile telemark release bindings - X-C touring poles - X-C track/skating ...
