Now that she's learned her ABC's I can help her sound out the words. It's great for her, and her face lights up when she spells out a word. He loves having the freedom to choose the letters that he needs. Great for the price. Though he can't spell the words yet, he is gradually learning which letters he needs to for each puzzle and I'm sure will soon learn that "cat" spells cat and so on. As others have mentioned, I do wish there was a cover for the letter storage area. We kept the plastic cover from the packaging, but it's flimsy and keeps falling off. I placed the letters for each two sided puzzle in a small plastic bag and printed the words on the label of each bag.Enough letters come with the puzzles to do this with a few extra letters left over.
