Editorial Review: Product Description: The Logitech R-20 2.1 speakers enhance your games, movies, and music. They offer dynamic audio in a compact design. Their ported wood subwoofer displaces more air for deep bass. Easy connection to PCs, CD and MP3 players. Volume control and a headphone jack included. Shielded satellites for usage near a PC monitor or TV. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Vast improvment over the cheap onesI bought the Logitech R20's because the cheap, tiny speakers that came with my Gateway Desktop had absolutly no bass. The Logitechs have a lot of bass which is unusual considering how small the subwoofer cabinet is. As has been noted the satelites are a little weak. All of the sound appears to be coming from the subwoofer. The tonal balance between highs and lows seems to be relativly pleasing, but a little more high end (treble) would be welcomed. For the price (27 $) I am happy. Rating: - No OptionsThese speakers have no separate adjustment for subwoofer volume. You will have to use equalizer settings in whatever media program you are using if you want to tone down the subwoofer. Also, the speakers will not work without the subwoofer plugged in. Rating: - bad for music, good for gamesI received this and resold it within 1 day. Why? Because music sounds horrible through these speakers - muddy, way too bassy, even with my music player's equalizer set to have virtually no bass, it still sounded way too bassy. Conversation and movies similarly are very difficult to understand because the muddy bass overcomes the weak midrange (where most conversations are located) and are thus drowned out. The highs are ok, not too tinny. But lack of midrange and overpowering muddy bass make this ... Read More |
