Additional SkyFi2 features include a large scroll wheel and a convenient wireless remote control. You can navigate through direct-channel entry from both the receiver and the remote, and you can program up to 30 channel presets (10 more than the original SkyFi's 20) for one-button tuning to your station of choice. Also, the SkyFi2 adds something the original was missing: a stereo analog minijack (.125-inch) audio output for ready hookup with headphones or other audio equipment. SkyFi2's display is even easier to read than that of its predecessor. The channel guide lets you view 5 channels at a time while scrolling through the channels by channel name, number, artist name, or song title. You can also skip or add channels while scrolling. In addition, a "favorites" mode lets you preview the artist name and song title currently playing on your favorite channels before you select one. ![]() Rating: - The new SkyFi2This was a replacement for the SkyFi2 I purchased about 3 years ago. (The old one was stolen)The old one would transmit thru the Fm modulator to my auto stereo perfectly. This new one must not have the same type of modulator, as it won't transmit to my auto stereo. It does, but fades in and out and usually with a LOT of static, just like there was no antenna hooked up. It will work fine with the cassette adapter and the gizmo that you have to run out and put on the outside antenna. I don't like either ... Rating: - Amazon Lack of ServiceWhen I attempted to obtain the status of my order I was told to contact the supplier of said order. I objected to this as I had ordered the item from Amazon. Amazon insisted I call the phone numbers they had supplied. I called the two numbers Amazon had supplied, one was disconnected and there was no one available to answer the second. I informed Amazon and their response was less than satisfactory. I cancelled the order and informed MC to cancel the payment to Amazon. MC was courteous and responsive ... Read More Rating: - Music UnlimitedI bought a SkyFi2 a while back, for a song (pun) at $19.99 (special from XM). I already had a Pioneer Inno, but thought this would work great wired into my stereo. Drats, didn't read the small print and didn't understand that there was no remote control volume as on my Inno. So....after months of not really using it as I had intended, I discovered the bow tie boom box for the SkyFi2, here on Amazon. $24 for the boom box and $20 for the SkyFi, and now you're talking! Good sound, good sound--- not like $10,000 ... Read More Rating: - This is alright, but I like Sirius better. More features.Bought this for a blind friend in a rest home. XM has more PG rated shows. It works great, the company who sold the unit was great. But since I am a Howard Stern fan and enjoy Sirius, for my old blind lady friend I think the PG version XM was better for her. XM and Sirius will merge soon then all the shows will be mixed and available on both XM and Sirius radios. Gotta Go Howards on. |
