The dual function (for knives and scissors) is great. My only user suggestion is that when you sharpen your knives, have a cutting board or a wood board under the sharpener when you use it to protect your countertops. I used this at work to sharpen all of our scissors which were all dull and we constantly had to replace. Everyone was very happy to have sharp scissors and our store will save money not having to replace scissors. Also environmentally better.
