This replacement feeder, of which I bought 2, may have been similar in design, but did not perform anywhere near the one it replaced. The design has the top rounded to fit the shape of the bottom portion which holds the seeds and the feeding ports. Unfortunately, this means that the rain hits the top ... I guess I'll see how well it holds up to the New Hampshire winter. I'm impressed that even though it's full of about 3 lbs of seed, the little hanging cable didn't break even with 8" of snow on top of it. I bought a second feeder which is mostly metal at Lowes for similar money. |
