I have no complaints about the double boiler (which rests comfortably in a variety of Cuisinart pots, and possibly others.) It works great, has a generous capacity and comfortable handle, and cleans up like a dream. That said, it's really easy to make your own double boiler at home, using a heavy sauce pan plus a durable glass or steel mixing bowl that rests comfortably on top, never touching ...
