Since their formation in 1990 The Prodigy have released four albums, numerous singles, been number 1 in 27 countries simultaneously with their incomparable Fat Of The Land masterpiece, toured the world with their incendiary live show, made groundbreaking videos, shaken things up musically and socially and been unafraid to court controversy. And they've always done it in their own formidable way - as highlighted on Their Law. XL. 2005. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Good OverviewThe Prodigy were a great singles band and the proof is in this compilation which contains basically everything a casual fan would want. I have to take a star off though for a couple of reasons. First, the non-inclusion of "Fire" and "Baby's Got A Temper" is a shame and secondly, the version of "Poison" on here must be a single mix or something because it's not the version I remembered from Music For The Jilted Generation (the intro isn't as good). Most Americans only have a passing knowledge or memory of the Prodigy when they seemingly invaded MTV and the radio airwaves in the late nineties with their monster hits "Firestarter", "Breathe", and the hugely ... Read More Rating: - Their Law, My SatisfactionIt's something unusual for me to buy compilations from my favourite bands; most of the times they are not destined for those who already have the original records and so I generally see it as a waste of money just for a couple of remixes or new tracks you can easily get separately these days; even more unusual is to play compilations for more than a few days... But that's not the case here - I'm listening to Their Law: The Singles for a 2nd week on a row and things tend to carry on like this in the ... They had really good songs that made through the 90's, most of them Unknown for me, but when I got this album, I just decided to the take the risk, and I don't regret. Just get this album If you want to enjoy something different. |
