The cutter wheel has a large diameter so you can easily cut deep-dish pizza. Although you can take it apart, I feel its a bit "risky". The blade is very sharp! It is much easier to user than the type with the handle. Once you get the hang of opening the cover to remove the slicer for cleaning, it's really very easy.
