Editorial Review:

Amazon.com Product Description:
Add sporty style and rugged durability to your daily exercise regimen with the mid-size Timex T5G901 1440 Sports digital watch. It has a round silver resin case with a comfortable, black polyurethane strap. Timekeeping features include a 24-hour chronograph, 24-hour timer, daily alarm, and two time zones. It also offers water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet).

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Great until you need to change the battery...
This watch is fine unless/until you need to change the battery! Changing the battery is an easy process - RESETTING the watch is another thing altogether. After searching the web & Timex website (NO help) - we've given up. I guess that's what they want you to do so you'll just buy another watch - seems pretty wasteful to me. If anyone has a suggestion for how to successfully reset the watch, please post the info!! Yes, I see the word "RES" & yes the watch blinks but it does NOT reset.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Takes abuse- to a point
This watch has gone through a lot of hard use and is rather durable. The 'metal' around the watch is just plating and will flake off or break if it is hit with a good amount of force and as mentioned in other reviews the glass scratches as well.

The damage to the case didn't stop the watch from working extremely well in wet conditions in the middle of the Pacific but the movable band holder broke down after enough wear. After a few months the band itself broke.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good cheap watch
See the Andy Rooney article on watches? This will wind up in the pile. Looks good. Cheap. Accurate. There will be another cheapy to replace this. But in a while.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Watch, Awesome Value
I've had this watch for almost a year now and really like it. I work with my hands so my watches take a beating. This means that spending a lot of coin for a watch is a waste of money. So I'm always on the lookout for solid, inexpensive ones. This is a good one.

Pros:
Big numbers that are easy to read (even the date)
Intuitive button operation
Resin band doesn't absorb water - nice when working in the water
Low price

Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Value for 15 Bucks!
I almost didn't get this watch because I thought the size of the numbers displaying the time looked a little small and I wasn't really in love with the design.

Then I got it. I'm REALLY happy with how it looks. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Do I wish the display was a little bigger? You bet. Do I wish the band was a little softer/more flexible a plastic like my Oakley? Yes. But that watch is easily over two hundred dollars now and this watch is 15 bucks.
